I mentioned in several posts that my boyfriend George and I have been searching for an estate engagement ring. What I didn’t mention was that one chilly Sunday, we found the perfect ring! George surprised me last weekend while we visited his house in Pennsylvania with a pretty little velvet box with my dream ring.

The ring is from the 1940s, platinum and brilliant cut in a fishtail setting. It couldn’t be any prettier. It catches every piece of light and I find myself lost in the sparkle.

George and I couldn’t be happier to start our lives together. Hopefully my 14 years of event planning experience will make the process painless and we can enjoy the journey!

Here is my shameless display of the ring, I just love it!

Congratulations! That ring is fantastic. I have such a weakness for estate pieces. It is very romantic to think about wearing something with history and something that meant so much in someone’s life. Beautiful!
