Window to Paris

I loved Paris and I could have walked around the city for months.  My friend Annette and I must have taken 2,000 pictures between us.  Every so often I notice new things about the collection I snapped while I was there.  Today I was particularity liking the window shots.  I hope you enjoy them too.  Vive la France!

I enjoyed your post and the photos. You captured the essence of your visit without all the cliche landmarks. Well done!

  2. I love your pictures of Paris. I love the city. I got engaged there. I knew if I brought my boyfriend there on a mini vacation that the romance of the city would overwhelm him and we’d come back engaged. That was 20 years ago and now we’re married with kids. Nice blog! Thank you.

Your windows on Paris are amazing, I especially love the moody, brooding feel of the rain on the windows Keep up the great work, you give me the ability to see a city that I have yet to be able to travel to.

I have never taken photos of windows in Paris I’m too busy eating and sightseeing. I remember one night in Paris about three years ago — I was sitting at a little cafe across the river from Notre Dame eating the “Plat du Jour” (which is almost always a small steak and shoestring french fries at dirt cheap prices). The sunset that evening was magnificent. About the time my wine came, the bells of Notre Dame began to toll. It went on FOREVER! And I sat there with this gorgeous view, and those amazing albeit endless bells and a 7 euro steak dinner and I thought to myself, “If I were a millionaire, it couldn’t get any better than this. Same view. Same bells. And a nice little steak.”

That’s what I remember about that trip to Paris.

Paris is also one of my favourite cities. Your photos definitely shows its real atmosphere. I, especially, love the last one…although, I sill believe that only a sunny day reveal the genuine beauty of the city.

I'd love to hear your thoughts....
